　　I will totally support this statement. It’s an effective way to reduce the number of late submission. Many students take their grade seriously coz it’s linked to graduation or college admission. If teachers can make it clear that handing in assignments late risks their score, students will definitely hurry up and avoid doing it the last minute.

　　Also it helps to form a good habit in their later study or career. They have to survive in modern competitions by the lesson that being punctual or punished. If it never harms them after submitting their work behind deadlines, they won’t change their wrong behaviors. So it’s necessary to be harsh sometimes.
