  Extreme sports such as skydiving and skiing are very dangerous and should be banned.

  To what extent do you agree or disagree with this view?

  01、The more enthusiasts partake in extreme sports, the more dangers are mentioned. But the truth is that the dangers of such activities are manageable, so why ban them at all?

  解析

  1. 背景信息的铺垫要简洁且扣题;

  02、What is acceptable risk for these partakers may be unacceptable for others.To those who fear, extreme sports are more prone to injure people than other common sports, as they place extreme demands on strength, stamina and adaptability to the perilous environment. High-altitude challenges – skydiving and bungee jumping, for example, drastically increase the risk of heart attack, and others like rock-climbing may cause head injuries or even fatal falls.Inherently dangerous as these activities seem, they have always been safety-conscious. With participants undergoing rigorous training and assessment and with professionals accompanying, the danger coefficient has been reduced to extremely low.

  解析

  1. 本段质疑对极限运动危险系数高这一观点;

  2. 论证:为了丰富论证,通过举例具体化这些活动的危险性;

  3. 论证:同时,驳倒这一危险说;

  03、With this in mind, people should objectively treat extreme sports, not hastily take out aninjunction against it. As a matter of fact, these events, in the form of adventure, free thrill-seekers from traditional stadiums and lead them to head out into the wilderness, where human potential could be evoked and human limits challenged. The excitement and exhilaration generated from this is unparalleled in other sports and can be a great stress reliever. From an ability-development point of view, many extreme moves, such as diving and scrambling, require millions of exercises. This, frustration education, builds trainees’ independence and perseverance. There seems to be no strong reason, then, to ban participants from getting involved.

  解析

  1. 本段回应题干继续回应是否应该禁止极限运动这一问题;

  2. 论证:以说理的形式,罗列出其对参与者感官及能力上的影响;

  04、In conclusion, the world’s hunger for extreme sports cannot be curbed. Therefore, as long as the thrill-seekers understand the underlying risks and are capable of managing them, I would say they could try whatever extreme sports they like.

  解析

  1. 结论概述上文即可;
