Taking history as a mirror can also be of paramount importance to look into the future by shying away from making the same blunder. For example, when studying the civil war in the USA, people will be keenly aware that racial discrimination should be eradicated by giving the black equal rights and the hard-won peace, stability and tranquility would be cherished.
