In the former country, female managers slightly outnumbered female workers, with the difference of only 1%. By contrast, a different pattern could be seen in US, with 46% of women working in the workforce and 43% in management field.

　　A larger gap between these two occupations could be found in the rest three countries. This is especially true for Siri Lanka, where the proportion of female workers was 41%, almost 5 times as large as the figure for those who occupied managerial positions. Likewise, only 17% of Japanese women worked in managerial level, while 48% were employed in the workforce. Besides, there were 12% of female managers in Egypt, and this figure was nearly half of the figure for those working in the workforce.
