The lecture tells us about two ways of marketing companies use to promote their products. One is consumer marketing; the other is industrial marketing. Then the professor goes on to explain that by giving two examples. If a company wants to sell products which can be used by ~;eneral public, they use mass media like TV or magazine to advertise and let everybody see the advertisement. That' s consumer
marketing. If a company wants to sell special products only for business or service, such as office furniture, they can use small scale marketing, like sales person. That' s an example of industrial marketing. .
Industrial marketing is the marketing of goods and services from one business to another. Industrial goods are those which are used in Industry for producing a Di~ferent end product from one or more rawmaterials. The word "industriai" means machinery run by power to produce goods and services. But "industrial marketing" is not confined to these types of business activities. Broadly, marketing could be split into consumer marketing ( B2C " Business to Consumer" ) and industrial marketing ( B2B " Business to Business") .
