Bob Visits the Village Market
1. Thank you for making time for [挤/抽时间] me today.
2. My wife baked these cookies from scratch [1. using all fresh ingredients rather than a prepared mix; 2. from the beginning].
3. You can say that again.
4. I don't want to make a pig of myself, but let me take a few more. [cf. lesson 6 pig out]
Oink - grunt of a pig
5. People will go /nuts/crazy/ over these!
6. I need to roll up my sleeves [prepare to work] and figure out the finances.
7. Can you give me a ballpark figure now? [ballpark - approximate, estimated]
8. I don't want to jump the gun [
9. Sit tight [wait patiently] for now, and we'll talk things over this evening.
