　　Speaking

　　Task 1

　　One of your friends just got a job offer in a town far away from his family. Should he take this job? Please include specific reasons and details in your response.

　　Task 2

　　Some students prefer studying with other students to prepare for an exam. Others prefer studying alone to prepare for an exam. Which way do you prefer and why? Include reasons and details in your response.

　　Task 3

　　【讲座主题】一个女生在校报上写倡议信：建议学校的radio station应该多放音乐，少播announcements, 以吸引学生听。

　　【学生态度】男生反对

　　【反对原因】(1)有commercial radio stations播放music, 有的电台甚至whole day都play music，想听音乐的学生可以去听那些电台的节目。学生都有自己喜欢的音乐台，不会因为学校的radio stations多放音乐，就不去听他们爱听的音乐台的节目了;(2)通过收听学校的announcements, 学生们可以随时了解学校的信息。

　　Task 4

　　【讲座主题】面对problem时的选择

　　【内容讲解】人在面对一个problem的时候，有两种选择：(1)do nothing;(2)take action。人们一般会do nothing, 因为taking action很可能带来negative effects。来源：北京新航道托福培训

　　【1个例子】举了自己的例子。自己几周前开车去赶飞机，一路都smoothly, 但后来遇到了traffic jam, 堵了半个小时，基本一动不动。这时，他想到了an alternative road, 只不过那条路有点绕远路。最终，还是决定在现在这条路上继续等待，因为他都已经等了很久了。如果去另一条路，万一那条路也堵车呢?最后missed他的flight。

　　Task 5

　　【一个问题】男生的biology老师要和去纽约做presentation, 男生本人也可以去帮忙，但他发现，有关部门只给他出hotel费，不出transportation的费用，男生很苦恼。

　　【解决方案】女生给男生两个方案：(1)提前买机票。但男生说马上就要出发了(departure day)，临时买机票会很贵;(2)改坐火车去。但是坐火车去纽约要一天时间，而且如果坐火车，男生就会miss某学科的review session, 那个review session很重要。

　　Task 6

　　【讲座主题】Different types of birds fly in groups because they have different needs.

　　【2种方式】举例：chichi鸟和wood鸟fly together。(1) birds fly together to avoid predators. In a multispecies flock, a chichi bird will not be attacked easily. chichi鸟负责放哨，当它发现危险，it will make a loud noise to alarm others;(2)Increased numbers offer better chances of finding food. Wood鸟只负责寻找食物。
