  As far as I am concerned, requiring art lessons in high schools is an ill-advised suggestion. Regardless of how vital art education is for kids' futures, students who are reluctant to major in art in college should not be compelled to take art classes. Doing so is usually seen as fruitless to them and an unproductive use of time and energy. The primary aim of high school education is to prepare learners for tertiary education which allows students to be equipped with knowledge in different academic subjects such as English, maths and physics, but art lessons make no difference in their university admission exam for a solid majority of students. Consequently, high school is not the optimal time for them to allot heaps of time to arts, notwithstanding the immense effect art education may have on one's life.
