2015年10月SAT写作解析：从风云变幻到旧曲新弹

　　狂风暴雨中，15年下半年场SAT考试拉下了帷幕。和上半年大胆而多变的风格不同，10月份的写作考题又重新回到了常规的话题上来，

　　“Should people’s achievements be judged by how much they help others?”

　　是不是十分熟悉的旧面孔?对于的考生来说是一个利好的消息。

　　15年上半年的写作一直在旧题新出和冷门的方向徘徊，从1月份的vulnerability和perfect society，到三月份的self-discipline和六月份的“people need to spend less time with others in order to appreciate them”。不但挑战了考生的审题能力，而且对于“例子”的应用也局限颇多。因此同学的写作分数不是十分理想。

　　但是十月份的题目则属于 “金钱与道德”、“奉献”的常规话题，和五月份北美的真题以及14,13年的几道真题都有异曲同工之妙，无论是在论证还是举例方面都容易切入。

　　例如：

　　Do people feel truly happy when their achievements benefit others?”(15年5月)

　　Should people who are more fortunate than others have more of a moral obligation to help those who are less fortunate? (14年3月)

　　Is money the most significant factor in determining a person's quality of life? (14年1月)

　　Has the emphasis on individualism in our society caused people to forget the importance of belonging to a community? (13年5月)

　　Is money the most significant factor in determining a person’s quality of life? (13年1月)

　　这几道题目讨论的都是成就，金钱和幸福之间的关系。是用金钱，荣誉和地位来衡量一个人的成功，还是通过对于他人和社会的无私奉献来评价一个人的人生价值，实现个人幸福?

　　针对十月份的真题，我们可以选择较为容易的支持立场，一个人的成就并非由富可敌国来决定，而取决于他是否能够约束个人贪婪和自私的本性，忽略个人的得失，致力于大众的福利。

　　论证方面，可以引用谚语“The roses in her hand; the flavor in mine”，更有美国发明家Thomas Edison的名言“I want to bring out the secrets of nature and apply them for the happiness of man . I don't know of any better service to offer for the short time we are in the world.”以及美国前总统John F Kennedy的 immortal couplet “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”。

　　例证同样有的选择。当代名人方面，有晚年致力于帮助落后穷困地区的孩子拥有幸福童年的好莱坞女星，一代屏幕传奇Audrey Hepburn，建立联合国慈善基金会，曾捐款十亿美元保护环境及支持弱势群体利益的CNN创始人Ted Turner，以及提出执行企业的社会使命，大力支持环保事业和NGO组织的美国冰淇淋品牌BEN&JERRY’S创始人 Ben Cohen和Jerry Greenfield。文学方面也同样不乏有力的例证。比如Mark Twain的作品Adventures of Huckleberry Finn中，热情善良，帮助逃奴Jim获得自由的白人少年Huckleberry Finn，以及To Kill a Mocking Bird中，正直无畏，为被歧视并且被错误指控的黑人Tom辩护，伸张正义，维护人类平等和权利的律师Finch等。

　　在明年三月新SAT执行之前，现行的SAT题型还有11月，12月和明年1月三次考试。10月份的写作考题证明，传统的例证对于写作仍然具有积极的作用，无论考题千变万化，仍然在向核心的几大类题型靠拢。正在准备旧SAT的考生们应该加强对传统题型的总结和回顾，拓展思路，积累详实的素材，努力争取在接下来的考试中有的表现。
